Personalized One-on-One Grief Coaching
This ministry is a service provided through St. John of the Cross Catholic Church.
It offers techniques for integrating grief into one’s life, managing the interplay between emotions, intellect, and will, and prayerfully dedicating the painful sufferings of grief in union with the sufferings of Jesus Christ. St. Pope John Paul II calls this an “irreplaceable service.” (Salvifici Doloris)
There are five official sessions, each at least two or three weeks apart, although the number of sessions and spacing between sessions may vary depending on personal need:
- Session 1: Honoring Your Story
- Session 2: Managing the Emotional Roller Coaster
- Session 3: Dedicating the Suffering of Widowhood in Union with the Suffering of Jesus Christ
- Session 4: Creating a Legacy to Honor Your Spouse
- Session 5: Considering a Plan for Your Future
